Teaching Yoga for Digestive Health

This training will explore how yoga – with its focus on stilling the mind – can have profound effects through the gut-brain axis on conditions such as IBS, IBD, acid reflux, colitis, diverticulitis and more. The course will cover the fascial, stress, trauma and sensory connections with digestive issues that are so relevant within yoga philosophy and practice.
Teaching Somatics
An experiential journey into Somatic practice

Teaching Yoga for Immune and Respiratory Health

Learn the nature of breath in relation to our natural defences and how it contributes to the health of our immune and respiratory systems. This course takes you through the functions of the immune and respiratory systems and how they orchestrate with each other in the body (and other body systems). Understand how to design practices to support their optimal function.

Somatics Training Retreat for Yoga Teachers
March 12th-14th

- 15 hours CPD / from £350 (can be taken as part of the total 70 CPD hours of the Teaching Somatics course for Yoga Teachers)
This teacher training retreat is open to yoga teachers, yoga therapists and anyone else interested with at least a year’s yoga experience (although you will need to be a qualified teacher to continue the full module, see below). Whether you simply need the therapeutic effects of a weekend of deeply nourishing Somatic practice or want to take this into your teaching, this will be a retreat of deep connection, self-compassionate practices and embodied awareness.

Moving beyond stress, trauma, burnout, anxiety, fatigue and post-illness through embodied awareness

This course has been designed as an explorative journey for yoga teachers, yoga therapists and others to delve into how a compassionate and subtly attentive relationship with their bodies, practice and teaching can help address these commonly seen dis-ease states. This may be as a route to unravelling their own states and/or supporting those in students. There will be inclusion of Somatics practices – from the work of Thomas Hanna that emphasises internal physical perception and experience – and sits well within yoga to support modern body needs.
