At this point in the journey of change, it is not uncommon to feel a little wobbly after feeling the initial excitement of improvement in energy, health and mood. This almost three weeks into clearing up diet is often the time people report some adverse effects and feeling a kind of ‘kick back’ of making changes that are ultimately to bring body systems back into their designed mode of function. This is what used to be referred to as a ‘healing crisis’ and don’t worry, it does pass!

When we start making changes like sugar and stimulant reduction (and especially if you’re taking the probiotics discussed in the Supplement Guide), detoxification capacity increases, so we have extra toxins for the liver to process. We are also changing the gut environment for the better, but this process produces much gas and products that also need detoxifying….
