Tip: Try doing your warm-up at home or from home.
How: Walk up and down the stairs and around the house for at least five minutes. If you prefer fresh air then walk around the block once.
Why: Doing a warm up ensures the body is physically ready for bigger more intense movements through the workout. Blood rushes to muscles fibres and outlying capillaries to prepare extremities to move. In this way the tissues will be less prone to injury as well. It is also a time for you to get your mind into the right space to be active. Allow yourself to feel how the body is moving and working. This will bring you to a more mindful state where all other thoughts fall away.
